We ask for what an order needs. Nothing more.

To send you cloth we need a name, an address and a number to call when the courier cannot find the street. That is most of what we hold. This page sets out the rest in plain terms — what we collect, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.

We never sell your data

Your details are not sold, rented or traded to anyone. We share them only with the people who have to handle your parcel or your payment.

No card numbers here

Card details are entered on the payment provider's own system. They never touch our servers and we never see them.

Ask and we delete

Message us and we will remove your account and personal details, keeping only what tax and accounting law requires us to hold.

01

Who we are

This policy applies to daatafabrics.com and to orders placed with us on WhatsApp. In this policy, “we” and “us” means DAATA Fabrics, Cut Piece Bazar, Near Siddiqia Masjid, Bhiria Road, Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, Pakistan.

We are the people who decide what happens to the information described here. If you want to reach a human about any of it, the contact details are at the foot of this page.

02

You can browse the whole shop without giving us any of this. We only ask when you place an order, open an account or write to us.

03

Payment information

We do not store card numbers, CVV codes or banking passwords. Ever.

Online payments are processed by [list your payment providers here, e.g. bank transfer, Easypaisa, JazzCash, card gateway]. Your card or wallet details are entered on their systems, under their own privacy terms, and are never passed to us. What we receive back is a confirmation that the payment succeeded and the last few digits of the instrument used.

If you pay cash on delivery, we hold no payment data at all — only the record that the order was settled.

Where a refund is due, we may ask for a bank account title and number, or an Easypaisa or JazzCash number, so we can send your money back. We use it for that refund and nothing else.

04

Ordering on WhatsApp

A large share of our orders arrive on WhatsApp, and we prefer it that way. When you message us, we can see your WhatsApp display name, your number, and whatever you send us — including photographs of an article you want matched.

We keep those conversations so we can honour returns and answer questions about past orders. WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta, and your use of it is governed by Meta's own privacy terms, which we have no control over.

We do not add you to broadcast lists or marketing groups without you asking. If we ever do send you an offer, replying STOP ends it permanently.

05

Who else sees your information

We share the minimum necessary with the people who make an order work:

  • Couriers — [name the couriers you use, e.g. TCS, Leopards, M&P] receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver the parcel.
  • Payment providers — receive what they need to take the payment, as described in clause 03.
  • Our web host and technical suppliers — who store the site and its database on our behalf, under contract.
  • Our accountant and the tax authorities — where the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, for any price.

06

Cookies and how the site is measured

Cookies are small files the site leaves on your device. Some are unavoidable: without them your cart empties between pages and you cannot stay signed in. Those are set as soon as you use the shop.

Beyond that, the site uses:

  • Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to count visits and see which collections people look at. It tells us how many, not who.
  • Google AdSense, which may use cookies to decide which advertisements you are shown, here and elsewhere.
  • TikTok and YouTube embeds, which set their own cookies when a video loads on a page.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the essential ones will break the cart and checkout. You can also opt out of personalised Google advertising through Google's own ad settings.

07

How long we keep it

Order and invoice records are kept for [X] years, because tax and accounting rules require us to be able to produce them.

Account details are kept for as long as your account is open. Wishlist items and abandoned carts are cleared after a few months. WhatsApp conversations are kept while they are useful for returns and warranty questions.

When a retention period ends, the information is deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you.

08

Keeping it safe

The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, administrative access is limited to the people who run the shop, and accounts are protected by passwords we cannot read. We keep the website and its software updated.

No system on the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you what happened and what we are doing about it rather than keeping quiet.

Choose a password you do not use anywhere else, and do not share it. We will never ask you for your password — on WhatsApp, by phone, or any other way.

09

Children

This shop is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.

10

The law we work under

We operate from Sindh, Pakistan, and this policy is governed by Pakistani law. Personal information here is protected principally by the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016, as amended, which makes it an offence to pass on someone's personal data without their consent.

Pakistan has not yet enacted a general data protection statute; a Personal Data Protection Bill remains in draft. We do not claim compliance with a law that has not been passed. What we do instead is follow the settled principles behind it — collect only what is needed, use it only for the stated purpose, keep it secure, and delete it when it has served that purpose.

If you are ordering from outside Pakistan, your information will be handled here, under these terms.

11

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site. The version published here is always the one that applies.
