A cloth shop that never left the bazaar.
We sell unstitched fabric the way it has always been sold on Bhiria Road — off the bolt, at bazaar rates, with the thaan open in front of you. The website is new. The counter is not.
Our story
Bought by hand, sold by name.
DAATA Fabrics has stood in Cut Piece Bazar, near Siddiqia Masjid, since 1990. In that time the bazaar has changed hands, mills have come and gone, and the market has filled with cloth sold by photograph rather than by feel.
We kept doing it the old way. Every thaan on our shelf was chosen off the pile by someone who has spent 40 Years telling real boski from a shine that washes out. If an article does not hold its colour or its hand, it does not reach the counter — and it certainly does not reach the website.
What we added was reach. A customer in Karachi, Hyderabad or Sukkur now sees the same thaan a customer in Bhiria Road sees, at the same rate, and can ask us to hold it on WhatsApp before anyone else cuts into it.
How an article reaches you
Three checks, in order

Chosen at the pile
We buy in person, thaan by thaan, from mills and wholesalers we have dealt with for years. Nothing is ordered from a catalogue photograph.

Checked in daylight
Every lot is opened at the shop and read in natural light for colour, weave and hand. Shade variation between lots gets noted before it is listed, not after you complain.

Filmed before the shelf
New arrivals are shot on camera in the shop so you see the drape and the real colour moving, not a lit studio still. Those clips go straight to TikTok.
